The days where you’d rather bang your head against the wall than socialise, but wonder why you feel so alone, are the days that seem to last for a lifetime.
Two ends of the spectrum either side of you; tranquility and undisturbed peace to the left, to the right are smiling faces, an inviting atmosphere and a sense of belonging.
You turn to the right to join the faces welcoming you to the group but something blocks you- confused, you turn about and venture towards the sanctuary of peace. You can’t reach that either.
When you try to think of an alternative, the forcefield has penetrated your mind, blocking your thoughts creating a barrier.
You’re part of the barrier- unable to be part of events either side of it. The endless space of the void is overwhelming and you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, indefinitely.
